What a blessings to the Children.

Christmas is one beautiful season that is celebrated around the world. It is same in Sri Lanka. Blue Cross Ministry have had Christmas programme for the 5th time in last December. This day almost belong to the Children. Every year hundreds of School Children gather and celebrate Christmas at Blue Cross Ministry. This year they could see nice drama´s which shows them the love of Jesus, Dans,songs and also preaching about Jesus and his life. The most important thing for children that day was that all of them got free school books for the coming school year. They are very happy and thankful that they got help for the school, and also that they can participate every year for this joyful moment.

One thing that never is missing in our programme  is that Santa is coming. Every year he comes in different ways, this year he came on a red moped. No one knows before how he will come. Suddenly he comes with his funny dans  and then give out candy to the children. Finally in the programme he will dans much more with the children. As a Christian ministry we are very gald to have this Christmas programme every year. Jesus loves children very much and He wants to help them. We have to take care of them and provide there need. Because they going to be the future in this world.

People in need

Hello friends !

Afterwhile we wants to share some news from blue cross ministry with you.

It has been some months and we did not update what happening here in sri

lanka.  We think this is the time to do it and we have some good news to share

 with you. First one is that we started our free computer class for children and

 we have it once a week. This is 4th year that we doing computer programme

 for thechildren in poor families. That will we be great help for children and

their future as we plan to continue through the years.

     Second good news is that we going to start a free medicle clinic for the people

who do not afford to buy meidcine or visit doctor. This will be held every second

 month at the blue cross ministry and we expect that over 100 people will get help

in every medicle clinic. We help them to meet doctor and get their midicine. We

believe that God will help this works as we pray and you are warmly welcome

to be a part of this ministry by prayer or any support that you wants to do. If you

World children day/Youth club trip 2010

 

Youth club trip !

In march 2008 we started our youth club with around 12 children and since that we have had gatherings once a week. Every Wednesday children gather and having good time with their friends. Now our youth club has been growing and now around 60 children weekly comes for the youth club. We made the first trip in 2009 .

Youth club trip is one of big thing for youths . This year we had our 3rd  youth club trip, 15th october. 45 children and leaders went in a big bus to one of biggest nature park´s in Sri Lanka The youths  spent many hours there, having a good time playing  games, looking at different animals and walking around in the park. It was a big adventure for them.

 After that they went to an air port  museum, where they could look at many different aircrafts. Almost all of the children had never seen an airplane before. It was wonderful day for all the youths.They was very happy after the trip, many of the children have never been on a trip before,  Because their parents can not afford to bring them on a trip.

       

World Children day !

Blue cross ministry  arranged a children programme on the World Children Day. Around 60 children Participatet for the  programme and they had a good time. They played many games, they got a good message about important things when you are a child, had tea time together and enjoyed as one group. This is the second time we celebrate world children day and it is nice to see that  more children came than last year. We want to help more children and make good environment for them that they feel secure and happy.

Spectacle day / Glasögon-dag

       Saturday the 26 of june it was “Spectacle Day”  in blue Cross Ministry.

Lördagen den 26 juni var det Glasögondag i Blue Cross Ministry. Många människor kom för att få en synundersökning och sedan få ett par glassögon. Många fattiga människor i Sri Lanka har synproblem men har inte råd att köpa glassögon. Så det var många som gladde sig denna dag när de gick hem med ett par glassögon och därför kunde se bättre.

Saturday, 26 June, it was free spectacles day in Blue Cross Ministry. Many people came to get an eye exam and then get a pair of glass eyes. Many poor people in Sri Lanka have vision problems but can not afford to buy glass eyes. So there were many who rejoiced that day when they went home with a pair of glass eyes and therefore could see better.

Christmasprogramme!!

   Ojoj, det kanske är lite sent att berätta om julen 2009 i mars, men bättre sent än aldrig, säger man ju!

Men julen i Sri Lanka och Blue Cross Ministry var storartad 2009! Över 350 barn och ungdomar kom och deltog + deras föräldrar en del syskon och även en hel del far- och mor-föräldrar. Det var helt enkelt smokat i Blue Cross Ministry i Poddala, folk fick stå på vägen för att alla skulle få plats.

Det var en härlig dag, ungdomsklubben både dansade hade ett drama och sjöng. Julevangeliet delades och många delade vittnesbörd om vad Jesus gjort i deras liv. Till slut kom också tomten och alla barn och ungdomar fick en julklapp ( skolmaterial ). Det finns mycklet mer att berätta men som man säger en bild säger mer än tusen ord…….
